Whilst some electricians may steer away from smaller jobs, we are more than happy to complete them! We attend lots of small jobs throughout Peterborough, Woodston, Stanground, Hampton and surrounding areas. When it comes to these jobs some people consider hiring a handyperson or attempting it themselves, however, we find that our customers prefer the peace of mind that comes with having a full registered and insured electrician conduct the work.
You may be wondering what counts as a “small job”, so here is a list of small jobs we do regularly:
- Repairing or replacing thermostats
- Changing bathroom extractor fans
- Replacing switch and socket faceplates
- Hanging light fittings
- Replacing downlights
- Installing replacement outdoor lights
- Fitting new hobs and ovens
- Replacing lamps/light bulbs
- Initial fault investigations and inspections
- Installing replacement electric showers
- Installing replacement electric heaters
It might be the case that you have multiple small jobs to be done, usually we can complete all of them in a single visit and in most cases it will be charged at our minimum charge which covers our first hour of labour – meaning additional jobs might not cost any extra. Any materials needed will be charged on top of this fee, along with any additional time which will be charged at a reduced rate. We find this clear pricing structure works extremely well as our customers know exactly what they are getting for their money, without having to worry about any hidden costs.
